Very few notice it, however it is the accessory that gives distinction and elegance to whoever wears it: the silk scarf.

The classic scarf we all have in some drawer of the closet. Bright or pastel, patterned or monochromatic, floral, equestrian or geometric, silk or polyester, no matter whether new or old. It’s time to incorporate it into your wardrobe, you have a thousand ways to wear it.

In the fashion week we have seen it in some “it girls”, but was Giedre Dukauskaite covering her head with a silk scarf when leaving the Dior’s parade who returned to give life to this noble fashion accessory.

During fashion weeks, magazines and blogs are filled with photos of “it girls” and models that are photographed in the streets.

The “it” usually have their costume consultants and stylists who prepare them before go, so they come out splendid, because it is their great moment of the year and they work for it.

The models, on the other hand, are the ones that dress the costumes on the catwalks and when they go out to the street, dress with their own clothes. And those are the images that we like most because they are the real people and, in short, they wear what we could use.

This is the case of Chiara Scelsi in Paris this week who has a look fresh and unstructured. She had an orange trench on a boho style mini dress. Red over knee elasticated boots like we’ve told you and a leather bag with a chain strap.

We love her look and here are some suggestions to recreate Chiara’s style.

Durante las semanas de la moda, las revistas y blogs se llenan de fotos de “it girls” y modelos que se dejan fotografiar en las calles.

Las “it” generalmente tienen sus asesores de vestuario y estilistas que las preparan antes de salir, para que salgan espléndidas, porque es su gran momento del año y trabajan para ello.

Las modelos, en cambio, son las que lucen los diseños en las pasarelas y cuando salen a la calle van con su propia ropa. Y esas son las imágenes que más nos gustan porque son las de las personas reales y en definitiva, llevan puesto lo que también uno podría usar.

Es el caso de Chiara Scelsi en París esta semana que lucía con un look fresco y desestructurado. Tenía un trench anaranjado sobre un vestido mini estilo boho. Unas botas altísimas elastizadas como las que te contamos y un bolso de cuero con una correa de cadena.

A Checkered Jacket Style

As we were telling you, checkered jackets are the star garment of the season and we had already anticipated a good way to wear it with a miniskirt.

Now, we show you another set of plaid jacket with pants we have seen in the New York fashion week street style. An assemblage of masculine cut and sober colors contrasted with bright colors accessories.

The long Prince of Wales jacket, is crossed and belted, on a navy blue sweater with a shirt down from which you can only see the collar and cuffs. Underneath she is wearing navy blue cropped pants and a pair of black loafers.

And all the sobriety of the set is broken with a pair of white Kurt Cobain sunglasses and a yellow Benchley by Marc Cross bag.

Como te veníamos contando, las chaquetas a cuadros son la prenda estrella de la temporada y ya te habíamos anticipado una buena forma de llevarla con minifalda.

Ahora, te mostramos otro conjunto de chaqueta a cuadros con pantalones, que también vimos en las calles durante la semana de la moda de New York. Un ensamble de prendas de corte masculino y colores sobrios contrastadas con accesorios de colores brillantes.

La chaqueta Príncipe de Gales, es cruzada y larga con cinturón, sobre un sweater azul marino con una camisa abajo de la que se pueden sólo ver el cuello y los puños. Debajo lleva un pantalón azul marino, sobre los tobillos. Calza un par de mocasines negros.

Y toda la sobriedad del conjunto se rompe con un par de gafas de sol blancas Kurt Cobain, y un bolso Benchley de Mark Cross amarillo.

New York Fashion Week Street Style Spring 2018 | Day 8 – Via The Impression*

We have seen this set in the New York fashion week. It strikes us because it combines new with old, feminine with masculine, French with English, strong colors with pastels. It´s a mix of opposites that creates a very fresh set as if she were a Coco Chanel of the 21st century.

The girl wears a pair of wide, long trousers in a strong yellow, with a mint green jacket of puffed sleeves, on a pink stripes shirt. Also wears a French-style wide-brimmed straw hat, a beaded bag with a pineapple design and a pair of white shoes.

The masculine details are the boater hat, the wide pants and the stripped shirt. The feminine ones are the jacket of puffed sleeves, the white shoes and the pineapple bucket bag.

We try to recreate this set looking to be as faithful as possible to the original image. We couldn’t get a similar jacket, but a cropped green mint jacket and the pants, are not satin, but wool ideal for the pre-fall.

Este es uno de los conjuntos que hemos visto en la semana de la moda de New York. Nos llama la atención porque combina nuevo con antiguo, femenino con masculino, francés con inglés, colores fuertes con pasteles. Es toda una mezcla de cosas opuestas que crean un conjunto muy fresco, como si ella fuera una Coco Chanel del siglo XXI.

La joven viste un par de pantalones anchos y larguísimos en un amarillo impactante, con una chaqueta de mangas abullonadas en color verde menta, sobre una camisa a rallas rosa. Lleva un sombrero de paja de ala ancha estilo botero francés, un bolso de abalorios con diseño de piñas y un par de zapatos blancos.

Los detalles masculinos son el sombrero, los pantalones anchos y la camisa a rallas. Los femeninos son la chaqueta de mangas abullonadas, los zapatos blancos de punta y el bolsito de abalorios.

Tratamos de recrear este conjunto buscando ser lo más fieles posibles a la imagen original. No conseguimos la chaqueta de mangas abullonadas, pero si es una chaqueta corta verde menta y el pantalón, no es de satén, pero de lana que viene muy bien para la pre-temporada de otoño.
